Editorial Photoshoot - The Little Black Dress (LBD)

The editorial photoshoot project in JCI's Fashion Business and Creative Arts program was by far my favorite assignment. Each student was tasked with developing a creative concept, team, and production for an editorial photoshoot and style the shoot to our liking.

The inspiration for the LBD Photoshoot came to me quickly, and helped me realize with enough time that I would have to design and create the dress. This lead me to strategize how best to complete the garment without jeopardizing the structural integrity and intended result.

The following images are behind the scenes styling shots from the photoshoot. I felt it was important to embody the theme of the shoot in what I was wearing that day to help the model feel comfortable with the outfit I made for her.

After receiving the images, I edited out the adhesive spots and pins to resemble a paper doll outfit. I then edited the photos to look like a vogue magazine cover. Overall I am extremely proud of the outcome of this photoshoot. I learned a lot about styling and creative direction from an incredible hands on experience.
